Portrait Sculpture by Joseph Hayton, working from life where ever he can he usually dose several sittings with the subject to achieve a tangible likeness. Portraits can also be done via photographs and film if the model isn't available.
Joe begins the process by using clay to sculpt in the model using only a few measurements taken with callipers. When the model is finished it can either be fired or moulded and cast in real bronze.
Joe also produces portraiture in fine Italian marble that he hand carves using his clay model as a guide.
